When to Go Organic

Choosing organic foods is more important in some specific cases
There are many choices facing each of us when shopping for food.  Sometimes it is hard to balance our budget and time constraints with our health.  At Access Wellness, we want to give you the tools you need to make the best choices for your situation every day.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) publishes lists each year of the foods that are most loaded with pesticides and are the most important foods in which to choose organic.  They call this list the "Dirty Dozen" and it is updated each year.

EWG also makes available a list of foods that are typically low in pesticides even when grown conventionally.  They call this list the "Clean Fifteen"; it is also updated yearly.  You can always find the most updated lists at www.ewg.org.
